It’s summer vacation time, let us escape to the Mediterranean with these Steak Gyro Pita Wraps!
1 pound skirt steak
¼ cup olive oil
3 cloves minced garlic
2 tsp dried oregano or 1 tbsp finely chopped fresh oregano
1 teaspoon kosher salt
black pepper
juice of ½ lemon
In a baking pan, add steak and drizzle olive oil, minced garlic, oregano, kosher salt, black pepper, and lemon juice. Spread marinade to cover steak and let it marinate for 30 minutes.
Once ready, grill on each side for 4 minutes for medium rare; 5-6 minutes on each side for medium.
Place on a warm pita with homemade Tzatziki and Hummus, you can find the recipe here, sliced red onion, tomatoes, lettuce, and all the yummy fixings! Enjoy!
