Homemade Kewpie Mayo - the perfect condiment for…. well pretty much everything! It’s the perfect topping for Homemade Okonomiyaki - Japanese Savory Pancakes, you can find the recipe here.
1 egg
1 egg yolk
2 tbsp vinegar
2 tsp sugar
1 tsp salt
¼ tsp umami powder from TJ’s (optional)
1 tsp dijon mustard
1 cup avocado oil
In a large cup, add all the ingredients and with an immersion blender, blend on low until the mayo starts to come together. Once it emulsifies, stop as you don’t want to over blend and break the mayo.
Store in an airtight container for up to a week. Enjoy!
