The next frozen meal hack is using these frozen naan as a base to make flatbread pizzas. This is one of my freezer staples as they’re already portioned off for individual size and the toppings can be easily customizeable to use up whatever I have leftover in the fridge. I’m going to share 3 of our favorites at the moment.
I’m a little embarrased to admit this, but when Nate is left to make Erisy breakfast in the morning, he usually makes her a cheese pizza. Lol!! Not exactly ideal, but it’s what he knows how to make and she eats it, so we’ll just leave it at that. For this reason, we usually have naan in the freezer and I also like to use it for emergency lunches for me!
Here are some current topping ideas that we like - organized from layering bottom to top on the pizza. No exact measurements are needed because you can top however you’d like!
BBQ Chicken Pizza:
BBQ Sauce
Roasted Chicken
Mozzarella cheese
Sliced Red Onion
Cilantro
Kale, Spinach and Artichoke Pizza:
Spinach Artichoke dip (or you can sub for cream cheese if you don’t have any dip)
Finely chopped Kale
Mozzarella Cheese
Marinated Artichoke hearts
Prosciutto & Arugula PIzza
Alfredo sauce (or you can use cream cheese, mascarpone cheese, any white sauce will do)
proscuitto slices
mozzarella cheese
arugula (top after baking)
shaved parmesan
olive oil
