Tamagoyaki on a Stick

Tamagoyaki on a Stick - or as Nate would say, omelette a la go go. This is a fun way to change up your eggs in the morning. My kid love these! Sometimes we leave it plain, sometimes we add seaweed in (like this), and sometimes we add other fun things like ham and cheese, tuna… you get the idea. It’s a fun snack or breakfast that changes up the routine a bit!

3 eggs

1 tsp soy sauce

2 tsp mirin

1 tsp sugar

green onion

seaweed

  1. In a bowl, beat together the eggs, soy sauce, mirin, sugar.

  2. Heat up a rectangular cast iron pan. Pour in a thin layer of egg mixture. Once the bottom sets a little, use a spatula to push and roll the egg tightly. Add another layer of egg mixture.

  3. At this step, you can start to add your desired toppings. I added some scallion and a layer of seaweed. Then, continue to roll until all the mixture is gone.

  4. Cut it up and you’ll see the beautiful layers. Enjoy!
