Caprese Sandwich

'There’s so many good, delicious flavors going on in this Deli Caprese Sandwich! Never settle for a mediocre sandwich.

1 heirloom tomato, sliced

balsamic dressing

ciabatta bread

pesto mayo

arugula

mozzarella balls, packed in water

salt and pepper to taste

fresh basil

  1. In a shallow dish, marinate your tomato slices in balsamic dressing. Allow it to sit for 10-15 minutes.

  2. Toast the ciabatta and slather a thin layer of pesto mayo on each side. Add a bed of arugula on the bottom slice, then add 2 slices of the marinated tomato. Tear up some mozzarella and place it on top. Season with salt and pepper. Add a few leaves of fresh basil and close up the sandwich.

  3. Slice in half and enjoy!
