Peaches and Cream Waffles

Excited for the change of the season but also wanting to hold onto summer just a bit longer. This peaches and cream waffle reflects just that and I will be making on repeat until peach season is over πŸ‘πŸ§‡


Caramelized Peach Maple Syrup
1 peach, sliced
1 tbsp butter
ΒΌ tsp cinnamon
ΒΌ cup maple syrup
1 tsp lemon juice
Pinch of salt

Waffles
1 cup ap flour
1 tbsp sugar
2 tsps baking powder
Β½ tsp kosher salt
Β½ tsp cinnamon
ΒΎ cup milk
2 tbsps melted butter
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla extract

  1. For the Caramelized Peach Maple Syrup-
    In a pan, melt the butter and then add the peaches. Let it sizzle for a couple minutes, then add the cinnamon, maple syrup, lemon juice, and salt. Mix well and let simmer for 10 mins.

  2. For the Waffles-
    In a bowl, add all the dry ingredients. In another bowl, mix the milk, butter, egg, and vanilla extract. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients. Let the batter sit for 5 minutes activate and when the waffle iron is hot, cook to your preferred setting. Seve with peachy maple syrup and a dollop of yogurt on top. enjoy!
