Japantown in San Jose is an area that I really like but don't get to visit often. We were lucky enough to see the behind-the-scenes preparation for the 80th Obon festival this past weekend, before the crowd of nearly 20,000 people showed up.Seeing the stage get built, the vendors positioning themselves, and all the final details coming together was really exciting to me, being an Events person!
For our little coffee outing, I wore this really cute Summer white dress that I paired with an army jacket. It was a little chilly in the morning, so it worked out well. The army jacket gave this feminine dress a little bit of an edge to it. The criss cross on my sandals reminds me of a ballet slipper straps, except these are sandals and they're high heels.
We visited Roy's Station, a landmark in Japantown. It is always packed there! They have really great drinks like the Churro Churro Latte - a dessert in a cup. And... do I sense an episode/recreation coming for our Coffee Break Series? Yes. Yes I do. So many great inspiration in one little area!
